Homemade Creamy Ham & Cheese Pinwheels

These little bites of heaven were a tradition in my family growing up — my Nana made them for every holiday and special occasion. We’d crowd around the kitchen just waiting for that tray to come out of the fridge. Now, I make them for my own family, and they disappear in minutes every single time. They’re creamy, savory, and full of flavor — the perfect party snack or anytime treat!

Here’s how to make them:

Ingredients:

  • 5 large flour tortillas
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced ham (or turkey)
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/4 cup finely diced bell pepper (optional for crunch)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley or cilantro
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, mix together cream cheese, shredded cheddar, diced ham, green onions, peppers, parsley, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
  2. Spread a thin, even layer of the mixture over each tortilla.
  3. Roll the tortillas tightly, wrap them in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 1–2 hours. (This helps them firm up for easy slicing.)
  4. Slice each roll into ¾-inch pieces and arrange them on a serving tray.

Optional tip: Serve with a side of salsa, ranch dressing, or honey mustard for dipping — it makes them even better!

Once you make these, you’ll understand why my Nana guarded this recipe so closely. They’re easy, quick, and so delicious that everyone will be asking for the “secret.”
